Attitudinal Differences

So in the last two days I have encountered what seem to be polar opposites in attitudes of two random people. Yesterday at work there was somebody who loaned a locker at the equipment desk who was beyond friendly. He was extremely appreciative of something I do ordinarily for my job and using the simple things that many people take for granted like a "thank you." I thought it was neat to see somebody I did not know whatsoever who had no reason to be nice to be and yet be so appreciative. I thought to myself: that's the attitude. Today I ran into quite the opposite person. A completely random person speeding on the road yelling "fucking fagot." Now some people in the world are complete jerks, but I find something as stupid as this to be very juvenile. It doesn't take a high school diploma to realize how inappropriate street profanities are. I did not respond because I feel that those who try to yell something back are feeding into a cycle of trash, but I think next time I will try to use my camera phone to try to get their license plate and publish it in the Loser Wall. Anyways, the point is that the attitude you take reflects the kind of person you are.
